1982-92 Camaro Firebird Trans Am AC Delete Heater Box Gasket GM Restoration
"Please Read The Bottom Install Note As Well" You are looking at a Brand New GM OER Restoration 1982 to 1992 Camaro, Firebird, & Trans Am, AC Delete Heater Box Foam Gasket! This gasket took over 3 months to acquire the factory GM die stamp in order to have this new gasket made, and it is high pressure die stamped just like the original GM one was but the foam is now a way higher end 3M closed cell foam. Also it is the same thickness as stock before it is compressed, and it also has a super sticky peel and stick glue on the one side for easy installation just as the original GM gasket did. If you are not familiar this gasket is located on the back side of the NON AC "AC Delete" Heater box on the passenger side of the firewall, and it most often leaks or has cracks and splits in it from old age. I have 2 photos showing a custom heater box as seen from the engine bay, and another photo of what the stock gasket looks like on the back side when it is old and used. This will be perfect for any show car or Sunday driver, and it can also be used on the aftermarket plastic or fiberglass AC delete heater boxes that you see on Ebay for sale. Thanks for looking
Note: The foam gasket needs to be removed from the backing paper first to install it properly because if you just lay it over the box it will look like it does not align, this is only because the backing paper is holding the foam gasket stiff and not allowing it to be centered.
