You are bidding on a brand new OER GM Restoration 1982 to 1992 Camaro Firebird & Trans Am Gas Door Hinge Alignment Gasket! This gasket took over 3 months to acquire the factory GM die stamp in order to have this new gasket made, and it is high pressure die stamped just like the original GM one was. This gasket is used to align the gas door to the quarter panel and allow for it to open properly without it hitting the quarter panel and rubbing off or chipping the paint. These are most often rotten or totally missing from the gas door due to age or having paint work done. Most cars used between 2 and 3 of these gaskets to get a perfect circle alignment on the door to the quarter panel. This gasket is oil and gas resistant, and the 2nd photo is just a reference shot showing what the old used gasket normally looks like, and also the last 2 photos are of a gas door mounted on a show car with the new gaskets and with the door open, and also showing the door closed as well.
